Do not tell me that you don’t happen to have book shelve in your room or anywhere in your home? Book shelves are very common these days and can be one of the best pieces of furniture you may add to your living room. Book Shelves are mostly located in a corner and are mostly looked on as some furniture that has very seldom use so it doesn’t need to be in great shape or decorated worth while. That should so not be the case, as book shelves can be maintained and decorative and look to be very adorable instead of just being a place where you throw in all of your books. Book shelves add a lot of taste to your room and while it is still used as an ordinary book shelf.

I’ll be discussing a few ways in order to make your book shelves look some thing more than your usual untidy place to throw your unwanted books in. There are a few tips that would organize and help decorate them in a way that would help them to become something worth having in your rooms.

First off all you need to clear al the waste that has been sitting on your book shelves for the past few years. Get rid of all the unwanted books that you don’t read any more. I am sure your book shelf would also need a little bit of dusting as well don’t mind if you can polish it a little.
While you are putting them back on make sure you put them in order. Place them in a way that they fall in next to each according to their size. This way it looks a lot cleaner and organized. When you start of doing all this also tend to put all the heavy items and books on the most bottom shelf. Anything that has a little weight can go there thus making it the heaviest shelf which is the point in the first place.

Do the same thing with the top shelf, place all that is light and you tend to use more often than the rest. Place items such as your family picture or things that you like to look at or enjoy using. Your things on this top shelf should be decorative and look good therefore making the whole appearance of the book shelves look great.

You can place anything other than books on the remaining shelves. Not all book shelves should be the place for books. Keep something nice such as a lamp or a plant in a bottle or some sort of stuffed toy, whatever you may find.

Its best to place more than one book shelve side by side. More than three book shelves could look good than just the one. Now that you have made all the above changes you’d be happy to realize that your book shelves aren’t just for the sake of keeping books but they can be rather a part of your room as a decorative furniture.
